Lahti’s first-ever EAT! (or SYÖ! in Finnish) weeks kicked off on Friday, with more than ten restaurants participating in the event. During the campaign, the restaurants will offer selected dishes for ten euros, with a view to encouraging people to eat out and test new eateries. The event will run until 13 April.
The restaurants taking part in the campaign are Amarillo, Bus Burger, Domino Sushi, Fata's, Fresno American Diner, Hello! American Diner, Nepalese restaurant Himnadi, Restaurant Lokki, Manhattan Steak House, Pancho Villa, Nepalese restaurant Pikku Makalu, Saha Pizza & Bar, and Siipiravintola.
At most of these restaurants, ten-euros dishes are available on weekdays after lunchtime and all day on weekends, except for Amarillo and Domino Sushi, where the meal deals are also offered at lunchtime. At Restaurant Lokki, ten-euro dishes are served from 11am to 5pm.
During the event, diners and lunch crowds are offered the opportunity to sample a wide range of dishes, from fried vendace to Wiener schnitzel and from vegetarian meals to tandoori chicken.
The EAT! event, organised by digital-media company City.fi, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Restaurants in Helsinki were the first to host the event, which expanded to Turku and Tampere last year, with Lahti following in their footsteps this year.
The EAT! event will last for two weeks in all four cities. Customers can also win free meals by participating via Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.
More information on the offers is available in Finnish on Lahti event’s website.
